Like the Carolina Rhinos in 2003, The West African black rhino is now extinct. Kaput. Come on, say it with me, "tragedy of the commons." I think it comes down to a marketing problem. Rhinos don't seem useful enough. Hence, I think we should domesticate small dog-sized pigmy rhinos and offer them as a manly alternative to ponies; they'd be like a cross between a rottweiler, a small horse and a snapping turtle. That thing would never go extinct and it'd keep your lawn shorn like Yankee Stadium.
