A mock up of Clemson's new Wordmark. We like it. (For the most part)
Update: Welcome to all from the Clemson message boards. Sorry y'all don't like the logo. To clarify, we did NOT design the logo, we just posted it (and, for the most part, like the design). Feel free to continue to give feedback on the logo in the comments. That is, as long as it is clean and constructive.
I showed this logo to some friends and within a minute one of them said it was a knock off of a Mexican Football Club. He sent the link:

this is horrible! one of my favorite things about clemson is it's tradition and history. that logo looks like a little kid's cartoon logo... like power rangers or transformers. i thought our old logo was more academic, classic, mature.
What an awful looking logo. It lacks a classy look.
I think it looks like something a preschooler would draw.
I agree with the last comment about how it looks like something from Power Rangers or Transformers cartoons.
Very child like looking log.
Looks like some transformer crap, where the heck did this come from? We need to stick with tradition!!!
Why does everyone need to change things all the time.. it ain't broke and we don't need to spend all this money on a friggin logo....
horrible....I am thinking...would love to know who is in charge of stuff like this....we are not "transformer university"
what ever happened to our logo on our class ring
in this economic climate...why are we changing logos?

I don't hate it... and btw, this is not the sole new logo. If you read the latest Clemson World then you know that this is 1 of 3 new wordmarks. The other 2 are the same as above without the new graphic - one has the tiger paw as the "O" and the other does not. Sound familliar - yes there was little change from the traditional version. I see this third version as kinda like the seal - an optional logo variation that is available to use in marketing. As far as I am concerned, the real Clemson Icon is the Tiger Paw... and traditionalists will be happy to know that there is absolutely now change there.

That's much better than the ones that they included in some polls.
