I don't remember Seth Stevenson or Kottke getting on their high horses when Apple was using Rosa Parks to sell computers. Just saying.

Good point. Apple generally seems to have a little more tact, but still.

Couldn't we also say the same thing about Apple and other companies after the Tsunami and Katrina disasters? I mean yea, they were trying to help the cause, but as corporations they're never completely altruistic since their company image has a huge affect on their ability to sell product.
