The Econ Talk podcast with Jonathan Rauch on GM's electric car strategy is fascinating. It goes through the entire history of GM's electric car program from the late '80's to the the PR and business disaster that was the EV1 to GM's last gasp effort to bring an electric car to the masses with the Chevy Volt. It provides wonderful insight into innovation, business, marketing, engineering, and environmentalism inside the largest of large corporations. Certainly worth the hour of listening time.
