Pre-thanksgiving meal

When men are left to fend for themselves over Thanksgiving things get unhealthy but wonderfully tasty.

I've been detoxing ever since.

Some of my favorite thanksgivings were with my Dad:

As a kid - lost in unbelievably flooded woods trying to find the deer camp - repeatedly winching the truck out of some ungodly hole, munching cheetos in between pulling the winch cable.

As an adult on my Dad's last expedition prior to succumbing to Alzheimers - Chef-boy-ar-dee Ravioli on the tailgate of the truck as some gas station way off the beaten path in rural New Mexico - with pictures to prove it.

Thanksgiving is about spending the time with your family, what you eat is just a bonus !
