Split Pea Soup

One of my strongest memories about Lent growing up was going to church on Wednesday night for soup and not good soup, split pea soup.

You are not alone...as a Lutheran I was subject to anything from the blandest chili (basically Ketchup with Beans - thanks, Mom) to Beer Cheese Soup on Wednesdays in Lent. I cannot help but be reminded of this site:
