Someone is already making a killing in the upstate reservoir business.

Another unknown with regards to an eventual flood of NYC and climate change in general is what will become of Atlantic weather patterns? Will hurricanes routinely smash into New York and Maine with the same regularity and ferocity that they currently do in Miami and South Carolina? I smell a renaissance for New Jersey. Maybe Jimmy Hoffa will wash up somewhere too.
