The Legend of the Confident Rabbit

Posted 4 years ago by Bear

Native American legend tells of the rabbit, pipe in hand, sitting secure and confident within the ferns, as his mortal enemy the lynx prowls nearby. The rabbit is confident of his own ability. He knows he has strength, agility, and intelligence to deal with whatever challenges await him.

In the old country, we have a saying: "Un lapin qui fume la pipe en vaut deux qui fument des Gitanes."

Okay... never mind. I just made that up.

Now I feel like jumping into a canoe.

Just added the confident rabbit as a permanent icon on my shoulder. Have a history of competitive canoe and kayak racing and just really like the legend. I now wake up feeling a bit more confident and crafty :). Live hard and die free! Life is but a whirl wind.
