What is it about Russia that makes it so historically (and presently) volatile? Corruption is too easy an answer. Russia seems like a land of plenty, but only if everyone is organized properly. As a crossroads for the Eurasian continent, she's always had access to innovations from west and east. Maybe because of that diversity, Russia will always be plagued by organizational difficulties. I use this as a timely and long-winded introduction to my new favorite time-killer: open source Risk (flash/java gui). Yeah, I was am one of the dorks who loves the game of global domination. And, yes, Ukraine is weak. Enjoy.
