Lucky number 13

Nobrainer had some free time to devote to the West Virginia coal miners:

Like clockwork the politicians are already jumping on this one. In a side note, the Israeli President Ariel Sharone [sic] suffered a massive stroke. Pat Robertson went on to suggest that the stroke may have been a punishment from God. Well Pat if your God were so invasive, the petty politicians and media whores hordes would have been smited long ago. I bring this up as a simple reminder that there are far worse things in the world to worry about than coal miners. Hell, I would guess that over the last fifty years coal mining has caused many times more deaths than any nuclear power related incidents. Still, in a country where more than 30,000 people are killed in car accidents each year, I am simply unwilling to invest my energy in grieving for a handful of unlucky miners.
