A little busy, too many ads, but for the most part I like the new ESPN.com home page.

I don't like it. You really have to search to find what you are looking for. Too many headlines.

It's not terrible for what it is. But It has the unmistakable markings of a committee of contributers trying to push their stupid little features and gimmicks. I count at least 9 advertisment areas on the homepage. Don't they make enough on TV? Do those ads really bring in that much relative to their television dollars? Sheesh.

ESPN.com's ads have always been the worst part of the site. It seems to me that are making good money on the ads, and they do have a large web staff to pay. For the most part, I don't mind the ads because I read ESPN.com a lot and the writers, editors, and web people all need to get paid to make it such a quality product. I just the ads were not these stupid drop down ads, crazy flash ads, etc. They are just too much and too over the top.

PS: Please don't tell me to download adblock plugin for FF. Part of my job is to notice ads on websites. I can't block them. I just wish ESPN's weren't so overdone and everywhere.
