Urban Coyotes

Posted 10 years ago by Evan Tishuk

Coming to a city near you: urban coyotes. Sounds like a rollerhockey team, but no. Really. Coyotes prove that some animals don't need all those treehugger endorsed preserved natural wet lands and national parks. They do just fine in the city. In fact they make about 75% more than the median annual salary of their cousins in the suburbs--to offset the living costs.

UPDATE:
My new favorite magazine just wrote an article on this very subject. Two cheers for the Yeti for being first.

If they help geet rid of Canadian geese, then I'm definitely in favor. Moreover I'd love to know that each course on which I play kept its own pack of coyotes.

I wasn't sure if you had seen this speech from Michael Crichton where he covers some of mismanagement of national parks.

Crichton has published some great articles and essays. That's another one. Thanks for the link nobrainer. Maybe the urban coyotes are a pleasant result of the Chernobyl accident.
